Kadai Paneer is Simple and Amazing Flavourful Dish Made by Ground Spices Known as Kadai Masala. There are two ways of making kadai paneer gravy and semi dry.

The kadai paneer gravy can be eaten with hot butter naan and jeera rice as well or plain basmati rice.This dish can be made in regular pan as well

Ingredients of Kadai Paneer

  • Paneer
  • Cream
  • Tomato
  • Spices
  • Onion
  • Capsicum
  • Coriander Leaves
  • Dry Fenugreek Leaves/kasuri Methi

How to Make Kadai Paneer Step by Step

Kadai Masala Recipe:

  1. Firstly, dry roast 2 tsp coriander seeds, 1 TSP cumin seeds, half tsp black peepers and 3 red dried chillies. fry till they turn brown.
  2. Allow them cool. keep aside.

Tomato Onion Paste:

  1. in Kadai ,roast 3 clove garlic and 1 inch ginger with 2 tsp of oil. fry for a minute.
  2. Next add chopped 1 sliced onion and fry till golden brown.
  3. in Addition, add 2 chopped tomatoes and 5 cashew.
  4. Saute until the tomatoes turn soft and mushy.
  5. Cool completely and blend to smooth paste without adding any water.
Onion Tomato Paste

Kadai Paneer Recipe:

  1. Firstly, heat 1 tablespoon butter and saute 1 bay leaf,1 green chilli, 1 tsp kasuri methi till they get brown.
  2. Further add half onion slices and half cubed capsicum.
  3. Fry till they shrink slightly. they must be crunchy.
  4. Keep onions and capsicum aside. add half tsp turmeric and half tsp chilli powder.
  5. Saute on low flame till the spices turned aromatic.
  6. Further add blended tomato-onion paste and mix it well.
  7. in Addition, add prepared kadai masala and 1 tsp salt. adjust the masala to your taste.
  8. Mix well and cook for 5 minutes or more.
  9. Cook till the masala paste starts to release oil. now add 1 cup water as required
  10. Add 12 cubes paneer, 2 tbsp cream and mix gently.do not break the paneer. cover and simmer for 5 minutes or till paneer absorbs flavour.
  11. Finally serve restaurant-style kadai paneer gravy hot with garlic naan or chapati.

Points to Kept in Mind While Making Kadai Paneer:

  • Firstly use butter for restaurant-style flavour.
  • Also, cook masala paste till the oil releases ,this helps to enhance flavour.
  • Cut pieces to the shape of your choice.
  • Prepare fresh kadai masala for aromatic gravy.
