Devin AI duniya ka pehla AI software engineer hai - Cognition AI ne banaya. Sirf task describe karo aur Devin khud plan karta hai, code likhta hai, debug karta hai, deploy karta hai - sab kuch autonomous. Software engineering ka future yahi hai!

What is Devin AI?
Devin is the world's first fully autonomous AI software engineer, created by Cognition AI. Announced in March 2024, Devin made global headlines when it became the first AI to pass practical engineering interviews and complete real software engineering tasks autonomously - including finding bugs in code, writing fixes, and deploying updates.
Unlike GitHub Copilot or Cursor which assist developers, Devin can work independently for hours - planning a project, writing all the code, running tests, debugging failures, reading documentation, and deploying the finished software. It has its own shell, browser, and code editor.
Pros
7 items- Truly autonomous - works independently for hours
- Has own shell, browser, and code editor
- Can read documentation and learn new frameworks
- End-to-end task completion (plan → code → deploy)
- Handles complex multi-step engineering tasks
- Can work day-and-night without fatigue
- Integrates with GitHub, Slack, and Jira
Disadvantages
5 items- Very expensive - $500/month starting price
- Not yet available to everyone (waitlist)
- Can make mistakes on complex architectural decisions
- Requires clear task specifications
- Human review still needed for production code
How Devin Works
Step 1: Task Assignment
You give Devin a task in natural language - "Build a REST API for user authentication" or "Fix the memory leak in our Python backend."
Step 2: Planning
Devin breaks the task into subtasks, identifies what tools and knowledge it needs, and creates an execution plan.
Step 3: Autonomous Execution
Devin opens its browser, reads documentation, writes code, runs tests, debugs failures - all without human intervention.
Step 4: Review & Deploy
Devin presents its work, creates a pull request, and can deploy to staging environments for your review.
Devin vs Traditional AI Coding Tools
