What is Bhashini AI?
Bhashini (National Language Translation Mission) is an AI-powered language platform launched by the Government of India under the Digital India initiative. It aims to break language barriers and make digital services accessible to every Indian in their native language.
Built by MeitY (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology) with contributions from IITs and other research institutions, Bhashini serves as India's official AI translation infrastructure. The platform is free for all Indian citizens and provides APIs for developers building language-inclusive applications.
